Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has had the last laugh in an ongoing Twitter feud with Piers Morgan, sending a personalised photo of himself with the Premier League trophy to the chat-show host's Beverly Hills address.
Morgan, a renowned Arsenal fan with over 3.5 million followers on Twitter, was enraged by the Dutchman's decision to leave the Gunners for the Red Devils last summer and, despite a personal campaign of goading and sniping at a player whom he felt only joined Sir Alex Ferguson's side for money, the forward hit back in the most gratifying of manners.

The former editor of the News of the World and now host of 'Piers Morgan Live' and 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories' posted a picture of the photo of Van Persie. "So. I just received a package from Manchester United press office. 'Robin wanted you to have to this.'," he wrote in accompaniment.
"The package contained a double sided framed photograph. Of Van Pursestrings kissing the Premier League trophy."
The picture was signed by Van Persie on both sides, reading: "Piersy my man, thanks for all the support! You made this day even more special! All the best, Van Pursestrings.
"Great to be a champ.. so many #Tears4Piersy," it continued on the other side of the photo.
However, in typical brash fashion, Morgan responded: "I will of course afford Van Pursestrings' gift the respect it deserves. And use it as my loo doorstop in Beverly Hills..."
