Singapore tickets for second-leg of Philippines match sold out

Tickets allocated for Singaporea fans have sold out in just six hours annouced the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

Sales for the home leg of the semi-finals began at 10am on Friday at the Jalan Besar Stadium and ended just past 4pm on the same day. The sale period was initially scheduled for three days.

It is believed the tickets sold amount to around 6,500, approximately 80% of Jalan Besar Stadium's capacity. Fans needed to produce a Singapore Identity Card for purchase and were limited to only four tickets per individual.

Past home matches featuring the Philippines had drawn predominantly Filipino support, causing considerable disgruntlement amond Lions fans. A photo posted on Facebook earlier sparked a war of words between both sets of fans.

The first leg of the match will be played on Saturday, December 8 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines. It is the first home match for the Azkals in the competition and second appearance in the semi-finals.

Sales for the away allocation begin on Monday December 11 from 12pm at Jalan Besar Stadium.
