Marin reveals Tottenham interest after 'dream' Chelsea move

Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin has revealed Tottenham were interesting in signing him before he made his "dream" move to Chelsea.

The Germany international has penned a five-year contract with Roberto Di Matteo's side after the 23-year-old's deal to join Stamford Bridge in the summer was confirmed on Saturday.

The winger, who believed to have cost Chelsea in the region of £6.5 million (€8m), also claims he is suited to his new club's style of football.

"Chelsea are my dream club," Marin told Sport-Bild.

"I'm happy that I get the chance to play for them. It is a challenge for me.

"Tottenham Hotspur were also interested, but I opted for Chelsea, because they suit me well."
