Jordan's Football Federation has announced its national team will take on Iran in a friendly on September 4 in Amman.
Iran had been scheduled to play Syria in Tehran on the same day, but the fixture appears to have been cancelled.
The September 4 game will be used as preparation for both sides ahead of September 11 World Cup qualifiers. Iran travel to Lebanon, while Jordan host Australia on the date.
Iran last week scheduled a friendly against Tunisia in Budapest to be played on August 15 although the date of that match may change as Hungary are taking on Israel on the same day in the same city.
