Internacional hint at Damiao sale

Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has admitted that "everything has its price" after Napoli were the latest side linked with a move for Leandro Damiao.

Speculation has suggested the Brazil international could move to Stadio San Paolo in recent weeks, with Inter sporting director Luis Cesar Souto recently confirming the club had laughed off an €18 million (£15.5m) approach for the striker from the Italian giants.

And, speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Luigi is standing firm on the forward's €25m (£21.5m) price-tag, but admitted a sale could be sanctioned if Inter's terms are met.

He said: "Is Leandro Damiao on the market? Well, in life everything has its price.

"We received an offer from Napoli, it’s true, but not directly. Damiao’s manager Vinicius Prates told us they are prepared to invest €18m.

"However, that is not enough and we do not intend to give discounts. Our player is worth €25m, not a penny less, and if Napoli want him then he’s going to cost €25m.

"We’re here and ready to talk."

The 23-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham, with his current deal running until 2017.
