'Champions League win means everything to Chelsea' - Frank Lampard reflects on stunning European triumph

Frank Lampard says Chelsea winning the Champions League for the first time means everything to those at the club.

In a sensational final against Bayern Munich, the Blues were triumphant on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes that had seen Arjen Robben miss a penalty in extra-time.

Lampard captained Chelsea on the night and he admits finally securing victory in a competition that has been the Holy Grail for the Stamford Bridge club is something special.

He said after the match: "It means everything – we have been trying to do this for so many years now. This is the one we really wanted and we have got it."
