NEW YORK (AP) _ Annaly Capital Management Inc. (NLY) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $1.85 billion.
The New York-based company said it had profit of $1.79 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 30 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 30 cents per share.
The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $807 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $623.6 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $1.43 billion, or $1.39 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.55 billion.
Annaly shares have climbed slightly more than 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $10.50, a rise of nearly 7 percent in the last 12 months.
