Down 3-2 to Varbergs in the third minute of injury time, Swedish second division club IFL Varnamo brought 35-year-old goalkeeper Bjorn Akesson forward for a corner kick. A defender kept Akesson from attempting a header as the corner kick sailed in, but after his teammate's shot was deflected, the ball floated back Akesson's way and he made the most of it with a volley to equalize.
Feeling the euphoria of a rare goal and without the scripted celebration so many scorers have these days, Akesson simply ran towards the Vernamo bench with a look of pure joy on his face before disappearing under a pile of his teammates. The match ended 3-3 Akesson probably demanded to be called "Ronaldo" for the rest of the night.
