Michael Owen could be in line for a shock return to boyhood club Liverpool.
This after Reds manager Brendan Rodgers allowed Andy Carroll to leave for West Ham on a season-loan move and the Reds failed to land either strikers Clint Dempsey and Daniel Sturridge on deadline day.
Owen, a free agent, enjoyed an illustrious career at Liverpool and is regarded as one of the club's best strikers, scoring 158 goals during his eight-year spell at Anfield.
But the 32-year-old turned from legend to villain when he joined bitter rivals Manchester United in 2009.
Given the desperate situation at Anfield, it's almost anything goes for Rodgers.
But are Liverpool fans ready to forgive Owen and welcome him back "home"?
