The injury-hit LionsXII travel to Kuching hoping that Sarawak will falter at home. The LionsXII added yet another name to their already long injury list when first choice goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud joined Khairul Amri, Baihakki Khaizan, Agu Casmir, Juma'at Jantan and Shahir Hamzah on the injury list.

Despite the depleted squad, V Sundramoorthy's team is still a force to reckon, with talisman Shahril Ishak in fine goalscoring form. The form of midfielder Shahdan Bin Sulaiman also underlies the strength in midfield that the LionsXII possess. The Singapore team would be looking to extend their winning streak to six after defeating teams like Negeri Sembilan and Perak.

The home team will have an estimated 20,000 fans backing them but coach Robert Alberts is a worried man with key midfielder Guy Bwele missing this crucial fixture due to suspension. Also out of the fray is Azizan Baba who is reportedly injured, forcing Alberts to make changes in the middle to contain the LionsXII.

Alberts is also expected to field under fire striker Vedran Muratovic despite his previous remarks that the Croation has been disappointing. Muratovic has a lot to prove in this game as he hopes to silence the critics, including Alberts over his poor finishing. Despite the worries, captain Hairol Mokhtar is back in the squad and Ashri Chuchu returns from national duty.

The Sarawak-LionsXII is expected to be a thrilling game with Sundramoorthy's men trying to live up to the legendary Singapore team which stood firm over Sarawak in the past decade. Nonetheless, Sarawak would be no pushovers at home and may just be the team to end the Lions' roar.
