    Women boxers at the London Olympic Games

    Women will box in the Olympics for the first time at the 2012 London Olympic Games, bringing an end to the last all-male sport at the summer Games. Women will compete for three gold medals - Flyweight (51kg) category, Lightweight (60kg) and Middleweight (75kg) - squeezing the men into 10 weight categories from the 11 fought in Beijing. These are some of the women boxers who will be competing in the Games.

    1. Swedish boxer Anna Laurell began boxing in Lund Boxing Society. Laurell has won two world championships, three European championships and four national championships. The 32-year-old will be participating in the middleweight division at the 2012 London Games.
