What do footballers like doing in their spare time? Yes, golf. So, as today marks the start of this year's Ryder Cup, you can imagine what the man topic of discussion is.

Luckily it isn't all bunkers and birdies (whatever they are) today, as we have warm wishes from Greg Halford to new Nottingham Forest loanee Jermaine Jenas, Fraizer Campbell feeling lonely and Martin Kelly gives us an update on his injury.

So, without any further ado, I present Word on the Tweet...

"Good session this morning. Now I am not moving all afternoon watching the Ryder cup. Come on Europe!"

Tom Cleverley, for some reason, cannot wait to waste his afternoon away.

"Training done old team won 1-0 jelevic! Home now feet up tv on Ryder cup time-wouldn't like to be hitting one on that 1st tee."

...and Phil Neville is with him.

"Buzzing the golf is on!!! #NAAAT #Boringell #AllAboutFifa"

James Vaughan
, however, isn't interested at all. That's more like it.

"Operation was successful, chillin watchin the ryder cup ceremony cnt wait for this to start tomorrow, come on europe!!!"

Martin Kelly
‏cheers WOTT up with the positive news on his surgery, but angers WOTT with more golf talk.

"Warm welcome to @jjenas8 first training sesh done."

Back to a real sport, Greg Halford ‏welcomes on-loan Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas to Nottingham Forest.

"@AshWills84: Entourage season 7." Must be good!"

Danny Graham
isn't sure if the American TV show is as compelling as he has been told (pictured, left).

"Spurs fan is worry about week end? Or confident??? Impossible is not SPURS !!! YES we can!!! LOL"

WOTT
favourite Benoit Assou-Ekotto ‏ makes no sense, yet again.

"No long chat after training with @stevenfletch10 must be busy."

Yeah, he's "busy", Fraizer Campbell.

"Crimewatch is so much more shocking now I'm a parent!"

WOTT
can sympathise Danny Guthrie. We won't even allow the TV on in Casa del WOTT.

"It was 35 years ago today when the @UN declared that I was "A Citizen of the World." A very special day for me. "

Some great news to finish off with, as Pele reminds us of this honour he received.
