Robin van Persie is undergoing a medical at Bridgewater Hospital ahead of an agreed transfer to Manchester United.

The Arsenal captain's protracted exit from the Emirates Stadium was finally decided to be to the Premier League runners-up on Wednesday and the deal could be confirmed later on Thursday night if the tests go well.

As Goal.com exclusively revealed, the striker will then put pen to paper on a four-year contract worth a hefty £235,000-a-week.
