Tuesday's Bet of the Day Extra: Back a low-scoring game when CSKA Moscow host Real Madrid

Real Madrid's relentless pursuit of success continues as Los Blancos travel to Russia in intimidating form.

Ten points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga, two defeats and a draw against the Catalans are the only blemish in a record of 27 wins from their last 30 matches in all competitions.

That includes wins in all six of their Champions League group stage games, and Jose Mourinho's men are priced at 2/5 (1.40) with Sportingbet to claim another victory against CSKA this evening.

The hosts, meantime, have not played a competitive game for two and a half months, although their last match was a 2-1 win at San Siro against Inter.

Despite that impressive result they are priced at 7/1 (8.00) to win, while the draw is on offer at 100/30 (4.33). It is exceptionally difficult to back against Madrid at the moment given the form they are in.

Of course it is always challenging to play away in Russia in winter, but the temperature of -4C expected in Moscow this evening is not much colder than it has been in the Spanish capital at night over the last few weeks, so the conditions should not have too much of an impact.

While Madrid have been near unstoppable in La Liga, one area of their play which will not have pleased Jose Mourinho is their defence, with the side keeping just three clean sheets in their last 13 games in all competitions.

However, it is a different story in the Champions League where they have conceded just two goals, making them the tightest defence in the competition, and with CSKA missing a number of key players such as Mark Gonzalez and Keisuke Honda, this looks like it could be a low-scoring affair.

The price of evens (2.00) on under 2.5 goals looks extremely tempting. Jose Mourinho is the master of the two-legged European tie, and will be more than happy to keep a clean sheet. There could be a case made for backing under 1.5 goals at 3/1 (4.00) but under 2.5 at evens is a big enough price take.
