VALENCIA, Spain - Top seed Andy Murray gave Spaniard Albert Montanes a 6-4 6-2 mauling in the quarter-finals of the Valencia Open Friday as the Briton continued his comeback from a wrist injury. The world number four, who before this week had not played on the ATP tour since September's U.S. Open, broke the Montanes serve four times to set up a semi-final Saturday against Fernando Verdasco or Tommy Robredo.
Capello inspired by unveiling bust of Ramsey at Wembley
LONDON - England manager Fabio Capello said he dreamed of emulating Alf Ramsey by winning the World Cup for England when he unveiled a bust of his predecessor at Wembley Stadium on Friday. "This is a very emotional moment for me and it's a great honour to be here," said Capello, who will be aiming to end England's wait to repeat Ramsey's 1966 triumph at the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
United arrive at good time for Chelsea - Ancelotti

Real and Portugal clash over Ronaldo injury
MADRID - A row has broken out between Real Madrid and the Portuguese Football Federation over whether injured forward Cristiano Ronaldo should be called up for the two-legged World Cup playoff against Bosnia. The first leg is in Lisbon on November 14 and the second in Zenica four days later and federation chief Gilberto Madail said on Thursday that Ronaldo wanted to play and would be joining up with the squad.

Ireland prop Horan ruled out of November tests
DUBLIN said in a statement on Friday. Horan was substituted during Munster's Heineken Cup win over Treviso last month after feeling dizzy. The IRFU said the 32-year-old prop would not be available until the New Year.
Stosur fails to unsettle Martinez Sanchez
