Alejandro Faurlin is optimistic that QPR team-mate Adel Taarabt will stay at the club and insists the Moroccan is happy in London.
Taarabt has consistently been linked with transfers away from Loftus Road during his time with the Hoops, and recent speculation has linked him with a move to Arsenal.
But Faurlin has backed the enigmatic attacker, one of the Rs few bright sparks in recent weeks, to stay at the club and lift them off the foot of the table.
"Adel is a very important player for us," the Argentine told the Fulham Chronicle.
"It would be a huge blow for us if he leaves, but I don't think he will."
Faurlin, who has found his game time limited since the return of Samba Diakite, believes QPR need to pull together in order to escape the drop.
He added: "Everybody needs to be pulling in the same direction, and if that happens, everything else will be taken care of. Adel loves it at QPR."
Mark Hughes' team take on Southampton at the weekend – a match dubbed a "six-pointer" – before difficult away trips to Manchester United and Sunderland.
