Nasief Morris has admitted that he still does not know where he will be playing this season as SuperSport United and Santos fail to reach an agreement over his future.
The former South Africa international was an interested spectator as SuperSport drew 2-2 with Santos in a pre-season friendly at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday.
Morris is still contracted to SuperSport until June 2013, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Santos and wants to remain in Cape Town into the next campaign.
"I'm a SuperSport United player, that's all I can say," he told KickOff.com, cutting a frustrated figure.
His future was supposed to have been decided last week, but insiders say discussions over a permanent transfer are taking much longer than was expected.
Santos is the club where it all began for Morris, making his debut for the side in 1997-98 season and going on to make 70 starts. He left in 2001 for Aris in Greece, before winning a move to top side Panathinaikos, where he became something of a cult hero.
Loan spells to the Spanish La Liga followed at Recreativo Huelva and Racing Santander, before a permanent move to Apollon Limassol in Cyprus in 2010.
He returned to South Africa and SuperSport for the 2011-12 campaign, but soon found himself out of favour at Matsatsantsa and opted for a loan move back to Cape Town in January.
