Mario Gomez has accepted Joachim Low's decision to play Miroslav Klose instead of him in Germany's quarter-final win over Greece, but says he would have scored had he started.
Low's side beat Fernando Santos' men 4-2 in the first knockout game of Euro 2012, thanks to goals from Philipp Lahm, Sami Khedira, Klose and Marco Reus. Gomez, who began the match as a substitute, insisted that he respects his manager's decision, but suggested he would have scored if he had been picked.

"The coach names the team and the players have to accept it, that's what I did," he told reporters.
"Of course I wanted to play, I think I would have scored, but that's not important."
Germany will now play the winners of Italy and England's quarter-final, which takes place on Sunday.
The 26-year-old admitted that his replacement did a good job against Greece, and that he is waiting to see what the manager's decision is for the next match.
"Miroslav Klose did very well today and now we just have to see what happens in the next game," he added.
