The 100 Global Finalists were treated to a star-studded surprise when FC Barcelona's Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Pedro and their teammates showed up at training to give the boys some valuable advice. The football superstars even took time out to join the boys as they went through their warm-up routine.
An excited Faris shook Iniesta's hand and proclaimed, "The most memorable event for me so far was that I not only got to see Iniesta in person, I even got to give him a hug! I still cannot believe that having seen him on television, I was standing in front of him and even got to warm-up with his Barcelona teammate Busquets. What more can I ask for!"
With the first three days of the Global Finals over, the boys had a rest day before they head back into training where the 100 boys will be streamlined to 52 boys.
When quizzed about his chance to make the cut, Faris who is nursing a slightly swollen ankle said: "The training sessions have been awesome and the intensity level is at a high every single minute. The temperature here in Spain is similar to Singapore and I am using this to my advantage. Looking across the pitch, I can see that every single finalist is giving 100% and for that, I am pushing myself to give 110%!

"As for making it through to the 52, I am quietly confident as I know that I did well and showcased my talent in front of the coaches. I definitely want the chance to be in the 52 but having done all I can and left it on the pitch, the rest is in God's hands.", added the Courts Young Lions winger.
While the intensity on the training pitch has been competitive, the boys are having a great time bonding together off it. Faris has visited the famous La Masia Academy and also Barcelona's Camp Nou with his 99 new friends and even had time to don a chef's hat and learn to make sandwiches.
With the magical journey set to continue, the Singaporean winger has his sights on making full use of his time in Barcelona, Spain.
"I am all the way here in Barcelona. I represent myself, my family and Singapore. I want to show the rest of the world that we can play football. I will push myself to the limit and hopefully, my time is now!", chirped an excited Faris.
