Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge has signed a new four-year deal with the Premier League side.
Goal.com exclusively revealed on January 3 that the England Under-21 international was set to extend his deal at the Liberty Stadium after a fine start to life under Michael Laudrup.
The new contract has seen Routledge, who had just 18 months remaining on his previous terms, commit himself to the club until 2016.
After joining Swansea in August 2011, the former Newcastle United, QPR and Tottenham wide man found first-team opportunities few and far between under previous Swans boss Brendan Rodgers, with the Ulsterman preferring Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair.
But, since Laudrup took over as manager in the summer, Routledge has become a regular name in the Swans starting line-up – making 29 appearances in all competitions.
Routledge now joins Michu, Michel Vorm, Ashley Williams, Neil Taylor and Ben Davies in putting pen to paper on new deals at Swansea during the last few months.
