Thiago hat-trick leads Spain to Euro Under-21 crown

By Ori Lewis JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Captain Thiago Alcantara scored a first-half hat-trick to inspire Spain to a 4-2 win over Italy in the European Under-21 championship final on Tuesday. The defending champions had little difficulty in breaking down Italy's unusually hesitant defence as Barcelona's Thiago scored with an easy header in the sixth minute, a close-range drive in the 31st and a penalty in the 38th. Wednesday night's solitary fixture in Spain is an attractive one, as Real Betis host Atletico Madrid with both sides knowing a victory would lift them into second place.

Betis, who began last season impressively and actually topped the table at one stage, have won three of their four matches so far are and priced at 9/4 (3.25) with Bet365 to record another triumph.

Atleti meanwhile are unbeaten in La Liga this season, and are on a five-match winning streak in all competitions, having won the European Super Cup and made a successful start to the defence of their
Europa League crown. The side from the Spanish capital can be backed at 5/4 (2.25) while the draw is offered at 11/5 (3.20).

With both sides in impressive form that should in theory mean goals, with Atleti the second highest scorers in the division so far and Betis in the joint third highest.

In Radamel Falcao, the Rojiblancos possess one of the world's best out-and-out strikers and the Colombia international has added five league goals to the impressive hat-trick he scored in the Super Cup final against Chelsea.

The side from Seville meantime boast the talented Ruben Castro, whose two goals in four games so far have been key to Betis' good start.

The temptation is therefore to back over 2.5 goals or both teams to score available at 17/20 (1.85) and 4/6 (1.66) respectively. Instead be bolder and for greater returns back Atleti to score over 1.5 goals at the generous price of 11/10 (2.10).

This bet has paid out in four of the last six meetings between the sides as well as in each one of Atleti's last five matches in all competitions.

Betis have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four home matches and Diego Simeone's men have more than enough attacking quality to find the net at least twice.

For a value bet back a high scoring Atletico win, with over 2.5 plus an away win offered at 9/4 (3.25). During los Colchoneros' recent excellent run, this bet has paid out five times in a row and is certainly worth considering.
