Mauricio Pellegrino feels that Valencia deserved more than a 1-0 loss in Sunday's La Liga match away against Barcelona.
A single Adriano strike in the opening 45 minutes proved to be enough for the Catalans to bag the three points, and Pellegrino feels the final result was harsh on the away side.
"The result feels like a punishment for Valencia, but that's football. Football can be very cruel sometimes," Pellegrino stated to EFE.
"A single corner-kick proved to be decisive. We had our chances to level the scoring after the break. We had a very good game in defence, and it's a real shame that we were unable to score.
"We are obviously disappointed that we did not get a positive result, but I'm happy with the way we played. We're going to win many games if we keep this up."
Valencia sit 17th in the Primera Division with two points from three games.
