The Scot’s decision to step down as Manchester United manager at the end of the current campaign caught most by surprise, and it appears to have been a defining moment

Pavel Nedved is eagerly anticipating Saturday's Serie A encounter between Juventus and Napoli, and feels the two sides are among the best that Italy has to offer.

The Czech star midfielder has stressed that the match in Turin will not be decisive in the title race just yet, and hopes that the recent internationals will not affect the game negatively.

"It’s still too early to be a decisive game. But it will be a great encounter contested between two of the best teams in Italy," he was quoted as saying on the official Juventus website.

"It’s not a battle between [Antonio] Conte and [Walter] Mazzarri, it’s a meeting of two great teams, led by two great coaches.

"I can't wait for the game. I hope it will be an enjoyable encounter in spite of the inevitable tiredness of the many players who have been on international duty.

"Between them Juventus and Napoli had a total of around 30 players on their travels and each and every one of them will have been focused on performing for their respective nations."

Juve and Napoli currently sit joint first in the Serie A table with 19 points from seven games.
