Inter president Massimo Moratti has given a strong indication that his side are looking to sign Parma striker Sebastian Giovinco.

The Nerazzurri's sporting director, Piero Ausilio, revealed at the weekend that initial talks with Parma had taken place with a view to signing the 25-year-old, who is co-owned by Juventus.

It is understood that Giovinco is now open to joining Inter after initially expressing doubts about such a move because of his ties with the Bianconeri, while Moratti has hinted that he is eager to bring the Italy international to San Siro.

"Giovinco? Who would not like a player like him?," the Inter chief told reporters on Tuesday.

Maicon has been heavily linked with the Nerazzurri exit door in the last few days, with a return to Brazil or a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain mooted as strong possibilities, but Moratti was coy on his star right-back's future.

"Maicon to PSG? First we must decide if we want to sell him, but I have seen that they are building a super team," Moratti added.
