Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has stressed that the Portuguese giants have no intention of letting go of Javi Garcia for anything less than his €30 million [£23.8m] buy-out clause.
The midfielder has recently been linked with a move to Manchester City, but the Premier League champions will not get their man on the cheap.
"Javi will only leave if a club matches his buy-out clause. This figure is non-negotiable," the Benfica president stated to reporters.
The 25-year-old midfielder joined Benfica from Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, and has since developed into a key player for the Lisbon giants.
Javi Garcia inked a new deal with Benfica until the summer of 2018 back in March.
