Liverpool's Dutch international Dirk Kuyt revealed on Thursday that Bundesliga side Hamburg was one of the options he was considering if he eventually decides to leave Anfield.

"I'm proud that such a big club like this is interested in me," the 31-year-old striker told local media.

"But there are other options," he added, without giving details.

Kuyt said he had received favourable reports about Hamburg from his fellow Dutch internationals Rafael van der Vaart, Nigel de Jong and Joris Mathijsen.

"They've all experienced great times at Hamburg. They adore the city and the club," he said.

Kuyt, who is under contract at Liverpool until 2013, is waiting to find out who will replace Kenny Dalglish as manager before deciding on whether to move on from Merseyside.

Last month Hamburg expressed interest in acquiring the forward, with the side's sporting director Frank Arnseen declaring: "A player like Kuyt, who is still sharp, can bring a lot to any club. He's a selfless player with a great mentality."
