Jordi Alba, Javi Martinez and Juan Mata make up the three players from Spain's 2012 European Championship winning side who have been selected in the preliminary squad for the London Olympics football tournament.
Despite playing in every game of Euro 2012 and scoring in the final, Alba has been called up for international duty once more. Another goalscorer from that night in Kiev, Mata, is one of the players aged above 23 years who hope to take part in the tournament along with Atletico Madrid's Adrian Lopez.
Reigning champions of La Liga Real Madrid are not represented at all in the selection while their arch rivals Barcelona contribute four names in Martin Montoya, Thiago Alcantara, Cristian Tello and new signing Alba.
The Premier League boasts the most contributions of any foreign league with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea travelling with Chelsea's Oriol Romeu and Mata.
The squad will compete in friendlies against Senegal and Mexico before coach Luis Milla cuts the team down to the 18 members who will take part in the full tournament.
