By Ori Lewis JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Captain Thiago Alcantara scored a first-half hat-trick to inspire Spain to a 4-2 win over Italy in the European Under-21 championship final on Tuesday. ANALYSIS
By Chris Myson

With the new Premier League season now just one week away, the past seven days have brought one of the final opportunities for transfer targets from across the continent to impress their potential suitors ahead of the campaign.

Goal.com brings you both the best and the worst individual displays from throughout the week as we track those who could be moving to the Premier League this summer.

GOOD WEEK...

Brazil may have lost the Olympic men's football final to Mexico, but Chelsea target Hulk did enjoy a good performance. He made an immediate impact after coming off the bench with a flying 35-yard strike which tested Jose Corona and it was the Porto man who scored the stoppage-time goal for his side with a neat finish in their 2-1 defeat.

Gregory van der Wiel has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, both this summer and in past transfer windows. He did all he could to impress them during Ajax's 2-2 draw with AZ, scoring a stunning goal from 30 yards to open the scoring. The rest of his game was solid.

Cesar Azpilicueta is still being heavily chased by Chelsea, but he played the full 90 minutes as Marseille picked up a battling 1-0 away victory over Reims. He was better in the offensive side of his game, proving that he has good delivery from the right, but was kept busy by his opponents' lively left flank.

Aly Cissokho produced a solid performance in the 1-0 win over Rennes. In his role as a full-back, the Frenchman only did the bare minimum in defending his side of the pitch without taking the chances that existed to be more expressive offensively as a result of his team playing at 11 against 10 from the 30th minute onwards.

Borussia Dortmund were defeated by Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup, but Chelsea and Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski still had a good match. The Poland striker swivelled inside the area and placed a shot expertly inside the post with 15 minutes to go, reducing the deficit to 2-1.

BAD WEEK...

It was a bad week for Arsenal target Yann M'Vila. After being snubbed by Didier Deschamps for his first France squad, the midfielder missed his chance to impress the watching national manager. The 22-year-old looked off the pace and never really got into the match.

Mathieu Debuchy has been the subject of one of the summer's main transfer sagas, with Newcastle continuing their chase. Still struggling physically, he did not stand out for Lille against Saint-Etienne and then was substituted with 10 minutes left with the match still in the balance at 1-1. Debuchy said that he was tired and his coach, Rudi Garcia, insisted that the substitution was a precaution. Les Dogues went on to score a late winner.

Hugo Lloris, who has been chased by Tottenham this summer, was ruled out of Lyon's Ligue 1 match this weekend, officially said to be suffering with a virus which is keeping him out of action.

Long-term Spurs target Leandro Damiao has enjoyed a good Olympic tournament on British shores but produced a very disappointing performance in his side's defeat to Mexico in the final. The Internacional striker was sloppy in his link-up play and offered little support to key men Neymar and Hulk.

Chelsea target Andre Schurrle showed some bursts of pace in Bayer Leverkusen's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool but he was generally outshone by team-mate Stefan Kiessling going forward. The Germany international needed to show more cutting edge and final product against a tenacious home defence.

Vurnon Anita is said to be on the verge of joining Newcastle in an €8.5 million (£6.7m) deal, but if the match against AZ turns out to be his last one, it was a disappointing display. He lacked spirit, was invisible for much of the game and admitted to talks with the English club when he spoke with reporters after the game. If that was his last game for the Amsterdam giants, it was not a good way to sign off.
