Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has called for his side to remain focused as they continue on the road towards World Cup qualification.

The Atletico Madrid forward was instrumental in Los Cafeteros' 2-0 win over Paraguay on Friday, bagging a second-half double to hand his side all three points.

The reported Manchester City and Chelsea target insists an organised performance from the hosts was the reason for their triumph however, and has called for calm ahead of their friendly against Cameroon.

"Thank God my goals [got us the win], but it was the work of the whole team, so I'm very happy with the win and the goals," the 26-year old told reporters.

"Our goal is the World Cup and it is a long way there. We must continue with the same intensity and mentality [to achieve this goal.]"

The former Porto star scored both goals with his left foot on Friday, and went on to joke that his right foot was becoming envious of its counterpart.

"The second [goal] was similar to the ones I scored against Chelsea and Athletic Bilbao, and that's why the right leg is getting jealous!" he quipped.

Falcao will return to La Liga action when Atletico Madrid travel to Real Sociedad on October 21.
