By Mike Collett LONDON (Reuters) - A brilliant Franco-Dutch move involving Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in the final minutes settled a memorable all-German Champions League final as Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at Wembley on Saturday. Frenchman Ribery's back heel allowed Dutchman Robben to break through a gap in the Dortmund defense and dance round goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller to score the 89th minute winner. The goal sent Bayern's fans into raptures as their team became European

(Reuters) - Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at the Premier League club until 2017, City said on Saturday. The 24-year-old Argentina international scored 12 goals in 30 league appearances last season, and netted the winning goal against Queens Park Rangers that secured them the 2011-12 title. The Argentine commits to a new deal, running until 2017, as the Premier League runners-up look to avoid interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid materialising this summer

Spain head coach Vicente del Bosque says Cristiano Ronaldo is at the peak of his powers.

The Portuguese attacker scored a superb header to ensure Real Madrid shared the spoils in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Wednesday night, and has carried over his fine from last year into 2012.

Del Bosque, a former Blancos boss, believes the Champions League last 16 tie is finely poised heading into the second leg in early March at Old Trafford.

"The tie [between Real Madrid and Manchester United] is open,” he told reporters at the unveiling of his wax figurine at the Madrid Wax Museum.

“Real Madrid have a great team that are capable of anything, and there are still possibilities. Moreover, Cristiano is playing very well; he is at his best."

Danny Welbeck’s header had put Sir Alex Ferguson’s side 1-0 ahead but Ronaldo’s goal left the tie level heading into the second leg on March 5.

The Champions League will be a key competition for Madrid this season as they sit third in La Liga with no realistic hope of catching Barcelona, though they have reached the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
