Deco wants 'farewell game' against Porto

Fluminense playmaker Deco has guaranteed that he is not looking to return to Porto, saying that he is only interested in playing one last match against his old side.

The former Portugal international had been quoted as saying that he wished to move back to the Portuguese champions before calling time on his career, after enjoying great success at the Estadio do Dragao between 1999 and 2004.

However, the 34-year-old has now clarified that he would only like to take part in a friendly match and insisted that he wants to retire with the Rio de Janeiro giants.

"Porto are the club who opened the doors to what I am today, just like Barcelona are the club who made me big," Deco said on his Facebook page.

"Chelsea opened its doors during a difficult moment of my career, while Fluminense allowed me to recover joy and gave me the opportunity to play in Brazil again after so many years.

"I said I would like to play a farewell match at the Estadio do Dragao, just like I want to end my career at Flu.

"That is why a farewell game between the club who gave me everything in Europe and the one who opened Brazil's doors to me and where I am very happy would be nice."

Deco led Os Dragoes to two Portuguese Liga titles, one Uefa Cup and one Champions League crown, among other trophies, during his five-year stint at the club.
