Norwich City midfielder David Fox has signed a new deal with the club which will keep him at Carrow Road until 2014, with the option of an additional year.
Fox had an impressive debut season in the Premier League and his performances were acknowledged by the Norwich supporters, who voted him their third best performer of last campaign.
The 28-year-old joined the club from Colchester in 2010, following former manager Paul Lambert to the Canaries, and has played a key role in the side's meteoric rise from League One to Premier League football – adding that he didn't hesitate to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
He told the club's official website: “I’m delighted to be here for the next couple of years and now I can push on from what has been a very successful time for myself and for the Club.
“To end last season by coming third in the Player of the Season award was really touching and I was humbled by the whole thing.

“The lads played really well last year, and it was a collective effort from everyone. It’s up to me to play as often as I can now."
Fox struggled sporadically with injury last year but insists any reoccurrences are behind him, and he is looking forward to helping the club continue to establish themselves in the top flight.
He added: “I’m now fully fit and have been for a couple of weeks. I’m nowhere near match fit, but you only get that by training and playing games.
“It’s up to me to take my chance when I get it. I’ve now got to impress the Manager and show him why I should be in the team.
“I was really pleased to get 90 minutes against Scunthorpe in the League Cup. It was a competitive game and now I’m raring to go when I am called upon.”
Manager Chris Hughton was equally excited about the news that Fox had agreed to extend his stay with the club and believes he has a lot to offer the Canaries in the next few years.
Hughton said: "I'm thrilled that he's signed a new contract and committed himself to the Club for the next two years.
"He's got plenty of quality and experience which I'm sure he'll continue to bring to the squad like he has since he arrived at the Club.
"He's missed a lot of pre-season this year but it's great to now have him back in training, fully fit and available for selection."
