Juventus caretaker boss Massimo Carrera has stressed that Genoa will not be pushovers in Sunday's Serie A encounter.

The reigning champions were unable to beat the Grifone last term, and Carrera feels that another difficult test awaits this weekend.

"It’s a fundamental game for us. Genoa are difficult opponents. They took points off us last year as we drew twice and weren’t able to beat them," he stated at his pre-match press conference.

"So we need to go there knowing that we’ll be up against a difficult side in a red-hot atmosphere at the Marassi."

Carrera then stated that he has plenty of options ahead of Sunday's game and insisted that nobody is a guaranteed starter.

"Thankfully all those on international duty returned to Turin unscathed. We’ve got plenty of options to choose from," he added.

"We don’t have any guaranteed starters or reserves. We’ll play the best starting line-up for every game."

Sunday's encounter is scheduled to kick off at 15:00CET.
