Robben infuriates, bemuses, misses goals and wins match

By Brian Homewood LONDON (Reuters) - Arjen Robben's Champions League final was a microcosm of his career as the Bayern Munich winger perplexed opponents, left team mates waiting in vain for passes, infuriated fans and produced two match-winning moments. As usual, the Dutchman stubbornly refused to contemplate using his right foot in a man-of-the-match performance. Throughout his career with PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern and the Netherlands, Robben has been an exasperating enigma.

By Mike Collett LONDON (Reuters) - A brilliant Franco-Dutch move involving Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in the final minutes settled a memorable all-German Champions League final as Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at Wembley on Saturday. Frenchman Ribery's back heel allowed Dutchman Robben to break through a gap in the Dortmund defense and dance round goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller to score the 89th minute winner. The annual AFF Women's Championship will be held from September 13-22 this year in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and the Singapore team look set to have a stern test ahead of them.

The Lionesses have been drawn in Group A, along with last year's runners-up Myanmar, Philippines and hosts Vietnam. Group B will feature Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Laos.

A young Singapore side exited at the group stage at last year's edition of the competition after three straight defeats. Thailand eventually won the competition after defeating Myanmar 2-1 in the final.

Singapore will open their campaign against Vietnam on September 13 before taking on Myanmar two days later. Their final group game against the Philippines will be on September 17.

The top two teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals with the final to be held on September 22.
