The victorious Singapore national football team were given a warm
reception by President Tony Tan Keng Yam at the Istana on Saturday.
Raddy Avramovic's men lifted the AFF Suzuki Cup for a record fourth time last month after beating Thailand in a two-legged final.
President Tan greeted the players and presented tokens of appreciation to coach Avramovic and captain Shahril Ishak.
The trophy was on display at the Istana as Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information Lawrence Wong and Football Association of Singapore (FAS) President Zainudin Nordin were also present to grace the event.
Besides congratulating the team on their victory, Zainudin also thank outgoing coach Avramovic for his service and achievements.
