  • Fans turn to Rooney’s wife over husband’s future

    Wayne Rooney's family turned up proudly at the club's 20th title celebrations at Old Trafford on Sunday.

    But with her pregnancy delivery date looming closer, Coleen Rooney ditched her usual six-inch high heels for flat shoes as she was accompanied to the event by her three-year-old son, Kai.

    Fresh rumours link Wayne to an exit from the club after the 27-year-old striker spent the bulk of the season trying to fight for his spot in the team.

    And despite being left out of Sunday's game, Rooney looked proud to pick up his fifth league trophy.

    Rooney's wife Coleen, through, has been inundated on her social network account with questions over her husband's possible destination next season.

    Frustrated at the queries she has been receiving from concerned fans online, she said: "My husband has a twitter account…So tweet him not me!"

    It has been an interesting week for Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.

    Following confirmation that Sir Alex Ferguson will retire at the end of the season, the 27-year-old striker has also been linked to an exit from Old Trafford.

    He held "showdown talks" with the club two weeks ago, where he reportedly told Ferguson that he wanted a "fresh start" at another club. However, Rooney was told that his wish would not be granted and that he still had a future at United.

    On Wednesday night a United spokesperson said: "Wayne Rooney is not for sale."

    With all the rumours surrounding his future, perhaps it was fitting that Rooney chose to spend Tuesday night rocking out to a Beyonce concert with his wife Coleen instead.

    The couple attended the famous popstar's concert in Manchester, where they turned up on the red carpet with other Man United WAGs.
