Bell anchors massive England totalLONDON (Reuters) - Ian Bell scored 199 on Friday to anchor a massive England total of 593 for eight declared on the second day of the first test against South Africa at Lord's.Bell shared partnerships of 286 with Kevin Pietersen (152) and 152 with Stuart Broad (76) before he was caught-and-bowled by left-arm spinner Paul Harris. He batted for 496 minutes and stroked 20 boundaries and a six from 336 balls before he became the first Englishman to fall one short of a double-century.
