Germany's Mikitenko wins London Marathon women's raceIrina Mikitenko of Germany won the women's race in the London Marathon in an official time of 2 hours 24 minutes and 14 seconds here Saturday. Russia's Svetlana Zakharova was second in 2:24:39 and Ethiopia's Gete Wami, the pre-race favourite who had a fall earlier on the course, finished third in 2:25:37.
